Estonian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ESHP) was established in 1995.

Its more than 100 members are mostly practicing hospital pharmacists.

The main aims of our society are:
  • to provide continuing education for its members to promote life-long learning skills
  • to represent hospital pharmacy to the health authorities, which make decisions in the pharmaceutical field and in the health system in general
  • to evaluate the professional quality of members
  • to bring together hospital pharmacists to share their experiences and problems of everyday work.
The society holds monthly educational events and interactive workshops on the topic ‘Introduction to clinical pharmacy skills’, collaborates closely with other Baltic hospital pharmacists’ associations and the Pharmaceutical Society of the University of Tartu, Estonia.

The most important event organised by the ESHP is its annual Spring Conference: a meeting focusing on a specific topic held over a weekend, usually in March.

The conference has both educational and social events. Delegates have the opportunity to attend workshops and plenary sessions while meeting colleagues working in other hospitals. The scientific programme focuses on certain areas in the clinical field but it also contains lectures and workshops about legislation, educational and other issues concerning hospital pharmacy.
